Upcoming Dates:

We have scheduled an IMPORTANT All Club meeting for all Lakewood Baseball Club families, coaches, and volunteers for Tuesday, December 2, at 7 p.m. at Oakbrook Elementary School, in their library. All parents/guardians, coaches, volunteers, and others with an interest in the continued success of Lakewood Baseball Club are encouraged to attend.

The primary purpose of this All Club meeting is to elect/select new Board Members for the 5 Executive positions: President, Vice President, Commissioner, Secretary/Registrar, and Treasurer.

Failure to elect/select a majority of the above positions will result in the dissolution of Lakewood Baseball Club.

Per the club's by-laws Executive Board members are allowed to serve their positions for only 2 consecutive terms, thus requiring a new slate of officers at this time. However, the current board is pleased to make this transition with a much healthier club than it was a few years ago: the treasury has sufficient funds to facilitate spring start up costs comfortably, an online registration system has been implemented to automate much of the registration and team assignment process, and all of the current board members have agreed to advise and assist those taking over their responsibilities.

You do not need to have previously been an LBC coach or volunteer to accept nomination/election/selection to any of the open board positions, simply a love of the game and dedication to the kids of our community. Please email me at the address below if you want to know more about the responsibilities of any of the positions.

Thank you
Lonny Arneson, President
